About Us

Bring your heart. We’ll help with the rest.

LoveWB is the evolution of two trusted community platforms — MAC Calendar, led by St. Aidan’s Society, and Wood Buffalo Volunteers, powered by FuseSocial. For years, one helped residents discover local events while the other connected them to volunteer opportunities. As our region grew, so did the need for a more unified, collaborative approach. Now, St. Aidan’s Society and FuseSocial have joined forces to create one community hub — bringing the two websites together into a single, easy-to-use platform for discovering events, finding volunteer opportunities and connecting with your community.
LoveWB brings these worlds together into a vibrant, modern space where people can explore what’s happening, get involved and support what matters most.

Our name stands for Linking Organizations, Volunteers & Events — and that’s exactly what we do. LoveWB honours its roots while moving boldly forward with a modern vision for connection, engagement and belonging.

Vision

A connected Wood Buffalo where every person can easily discover, participate in and contribute to the fabric of their community.

Mission

To unite Wood Buffalo’s people, organizations and events through a single digital platform that inspires involvement and makes it easy for everyone to engage, volunteer and celebrate local life.

Logo

Our logo’s overlapping hearts symbolize people coming together. Their intersection forms a location pin, representing place, belonging and LoveWB as the home for all things Wood Buffalo. Together, the shapes subtly create a ‘W,’ grounding our identity in the region.

Our partners

In partnership with St. Aidan’s Society, FuseSocial — an incredible charitable organization strengthening social profits across Wood Buffalo — powers our platform. Northstar Auto Group and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB), proudly invest in our region by partnering with LoveWB to support this community initiative.

Land acknowledgement

FuseSocial respectfully acknowledges that we reside and operate from Treaty 8 land — the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cree and Dene. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Settlements within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude on the territory of others who histories, languages and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
